Aref Karim, FCA, Founder and Board Member, is the company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, carrying overall responsibility for the running of the business and its investment strategies and research. Aref has decades of experience in all facets of portfolio management, specialising in the design of quantitative and systematic approaches to investing.

Aref qualified as a Chartered Accountant and holds a Fellowship of its Institute in the UK. He joined a sovereign wealth fund overseas, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (‘ADIA’) as Senior Investment Manager.  There he was responsible for the pioneering launch of the institution’s multi-billion dollar Alternative Investment Portfolio and advised on its investment policies, strategies and asset allocation. He was with ADIA from 1982 to 1995.
